[[Family Fridays]] A Green Smoothie your family will love!

As a parent, I know how difficult it is to get kids to eat their vegetables, especially the green ones.

When I came across this spinach smoothie recipe that supposedly DID NOT taste like spinach, I was skeptical but also rather… intrigued. I mean, who wouldn’t be? Not only is this recipe healthy, it’s delicious! Seriously. And even though I pack in the spinach, I barely taste it at all.

I used to skip breakfast and snack (like crazy!) until lunch because I was just so hungry. Now, I’m pretty full until lunchtime on just this smoothie alone. And the best part? My kids love it!! Not to mention, it’s so easy to put together my toddler makes his own (aside from working the blender, that is).

So, it’s time for me to get all insta-famous-healthy-people on you today with this awesome recipe!

Happy Friday, friends 🙂

Super Green Delish Smoothie

1C Milk (I use Almond Milk)

Handful-ish of spinach

1 frozen Banana

1/2 cup Yogurt

1/2 Tbsp Peanut Butter

1/2 tsp Honey

1 tsp Chia Seeds (optional)

1. Put milk and spinach in a blender. Blend until you don’t see any spinach, only green milk.

2. Add everything else and blend away!

  1. Hi, tried this recipe. It was not the bright green as in the picture lol. The Chia seeds did not completely disappear in my Vitamix so my texture sensitive son did not enjoy the taste even when I added more honey. My daughter’s loved it though!

    1. Hi Karen, sorry your son didn’t like it 😦 Maybe you can try leaving out the Chia seeds next time? My little guy loves textures so he enjoys the crunch of the seeds. As for the colour, I tend to add a lot more spinach than what the recipe calls for lol 🙂 That’s probably why my picture is a lot more green! I try to add as much as I can without my toddler noticing :p And I’m happy your daughters liked it!
