DIY Teething Necklace

Hi friends!

My little Moo is right at the age where he’s chewing everything in sight! I wanted to order him some teething necklaces but I figured I could save a buck or two and make one myself!

I figured I would share the tutorial with y’all since so many people have asked about it.

What you’ll need

  • Fabric (you will need a piece that is 6in by 60in)
  • Wooden beads in whatever size you want (I have three different sizes)
  • Serger or sewing machine (I used my serger)

I was using a fat quarter, so I cut it into 3 strips, each were 6in by 20in. I serged them end to end to create one long strip.

From here, serge the edges together as shown, all the way down. The idea is that you want a little inside out tube.

Then you want to flip it until it’s right side up. Toss your bead inside your tube and tie a knot on either end!

Once all your beads are in and secure with knots, measure how long you want your necklace to be and serge the ends together.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! Let us know below if you end up making some!
Soli Deo Gloria!

Amanda
