Just a quick drop-in to share how my #saynonovember challenge went. As you recall, I was saying ‘no’ to eating out. So….it was harder than I thought it would be! I would be driving around with the kids and have forgotten to pack a snack/drink and I would just want to pull into Timmie’s quickly, but I had to resist the urge. I learned to be better prepared when leaving the house, I tried to use my time more wisely in regards to food prep and became a little more creative with my crockpot. It was also a nice wake up call in regards to delaying pleasure. When we live in a ‘get what you want when you want it’ kind of world, it was refreshing to have to wait (until I got home, or finished grocery shopping, etc.) I’m hoping I can apply this lesson to other areas in my life and become more patient and willing to go without, sometimes.
Now, I did have some moments of weakness, since I’m trying to be transparent, which included Little Caesars pizza and a meal out during Black Friday craziness, but all in all I was pleased with the opportunity to resist eating out for most of the month.
How was your #saynonovember ?
