pulled pork/pork tenderloin sauce


I had never cooked pork tenderloin before, so I wasn’t sure how tonight’s dinner would turn out, but I wanted a yummy sauce. Truthfully, I thought I had pork shoulder and could make pulled pork, so that’s the kind of sauce I was going for, but nonetheless, this turned out amazing.
Recipe (I found one online but changed/added a bunch of things):
I threw all of this into my crockpot and cooked for 5-6 hours.
5 shallots finely chopped
4 cloves of garlic minced
Beef stock (about 1 cup)
Diana sauce (chicken and rib) (about 1/2 cup)
Yellow mustard (2 tablespoons)
Honey Dijon mustard (1 tablespoon)
Apple cider vinegar (about 1/3 cup)
Dry ingredients mixed in separate bowl and then added:
1 tablespoon chili powder
Dash of cayenne pepper
Dash of cinnamon
2 tablespoons of sea salt
3 tablespoons of brown sugar

As firsts go, this was a home run! From the first bite, Jeremiah (my 3 year old) kept saying “mm” “yum” and telling me how delicious he thought it was. My husband and I really enjoyed it. Even our picky girl devoured it. Yay!
Adding that one to the Warren favourites 🙂
