a mini-van mom’s survival kit

Now that we have taken the leap to “mini-vanhood” and are LOVING it, I decided to put together a simple box of supplies. I mean, we’ve all been there right?! When the babies are crying uncontrollably from the backseat and the toddler is kicking your chair incessantly because he’s bored and you spill something on your lap and have no means to clean it up and then you smell that oh-so-familiar odour wafting your way and realize you forgot diapers at home . . . (dun, dun, dun) ENTER the  mini-van mom’s survival kit!

Now this could be a lot bigger or significantly smaller depending on the vehicle you drive (you don’t have to be a wanna-be soccer mom like me) but here’s mine so that you have an example of what to possibly start with:

survival kitMine included:

-A blanket

-An old towel

-A baby blanket

-toilet paper

-an emergency/first aid kit (I bought mine at Wal Mart)

-a flashlight

-books, crayons, play-dough, chalk, a pack of cards, a colouring book and baby toys

You too can be prepared for all that life brings. 🙂
