Last month I bought a Magic Bullet. I had been avoiding buying one because I thought they were too gimmicky. Well let me tell you: best purchase ever. The thing gets daily use, many times a day. I’m obsessed.
Here’s an awesome little recipe for apple sauce that The Bug loves. It’s sugar free and so easy to make. Plus it’s an awesome way to sneak vegetables into her.
- 1 small apple, peeled and chopped
- 3 baby carrots, cut up (or not, I cut them up to make blending faster)
- small pinch of nutmeg
- small pinch of cinnamon
Place all ingredients into your blending cup and coat with a tiny bit of water (just enough to lightly coat everything). Blend!
Optional: Use about a tablespoon of plain yogurt to coat instead. This will make it creamy and add some dairy into the snack. But it won’t be sugar free.
It’s actually a pretty yummy snack. Finished product picture is apple sauce with yogurt and raisins (also not sugar free), but this can be made with just the first list of ingredients and still be delicious.
