DIY Lotion Bars

This is something I’ve had pinned for a long while but somehow never ended up making them. Rather silly since I have has all the ingredients for a long time now. They were surprisingly easy to make and will be a staple in my house going forward! These make great homemade gifts as well.

What you’ll need:
•equal parts almond oil, coconut oil and beeswax
•essential oils for scents (optional)
•molds

Simply place all the ingredients in a microwave safe container (I used a Pyrex glass measuring cup) and heat in short equal bursts. I did 45 seconds at a time. Then mix in whatever essential oils you want. I don’t know how much essential oils I used but just shake some in until you can smell it once mixed. Pour in your molds and let set overnight at room temperature.
I find silicone molds are best for things like this because your bars will just pop out. The bar pictured is peppermint smelling. I’m hoping it will help with my nausea once rubbed on my belly. These also make great massage bars! Enjoy 😉
