Right now my life seems to be filled with babies! Many of my close friends and my lovely sister-in-law (Christie) are either having or have recently had babies, thus my calendar is filling up with baby showers. I LOVE giving home made gifts at showers. Not only do I enjoy every moment making the gift, I love adding in that little home made touch.
For Christie’s shower I made her a nursing cover. It turned out great and was very easy to make. It would definitely be something you could do if you are just learning how to sew. The cover took me about 2 hours to make, including cutting and ironing the material. I used Velcro for Christie’s cover but you could substitute it for D rings.
Things you’ll need:
- Two yards of 44-45″ cotton knit fabric (one in each colour)
- 1/2 a yard of 1/2 inch plastic boning
- 1/2 a yard of 1/2 inching sew-in velcro
- Thread (I bought two different colours for mine)

I hope you have just as much fun making your nursing cover as I did with mine!
