Getting Back To It

So here we are, 11 weeks into this pregnancy. So far it has been less than pleasant. With about 6-7 weeks of nausea under my belt, very limited sleep and sciatic nerve pain starting already, I’m not keen to see what the rest of this pregnancy will bring. Nonetheless, there comes a time where a girls gotta suck it up and start doing things again. My poor husband has had to pick up a lot of slack. Even though I know it has been hard on him, he has been such a trooper. He actually told me he was grateful for it because it gave him a chance to see exactly what I do as a stay at home mom, and he now appreciates me more. Sorry ladies, he’s taken.

So this week I am going to do my darn hardest to get back on the saddle and start working hard. At the suggestion of my sister in law, I have discovered this awesome website. It’s full of easy recipes for families of all kinds. It’s been an awesome inspiration for my meal plan this week and I can’t wait to get started. So here we go! 7 days of homemade (by me!) meals. I’m not gonna lie, I’m quite nervous. I’m out of practice when it comes to cooking and I don’t want to push myself too hard (or burn the house down). So wish me luck!

A question for our lovely readers: What are your go-to simple meals? I would love to hear some easy delicious ideas!

  1. T’is the season to put your crockpot to good use with chili’s, soups, stews. The last meal of the day doesn’t have to be a formal thing and you shouldn’t eat so much at night anyway. Nothing wrong with chopped up veggies/dip, hunk of good bread, slab of cheese. Also nothing wrong with breakfast for dinner – yummy eggs and slab of breakfast ham.
