$5 Gifts: Soap

Here is an adorable gift idea that you can make for under $5.

What you’ll need:

  • A bar or two of soap (I make soap as a hobby so I had soap base, but any bar of  soap can be used. You can go to your local craft store and get soap base that is unscented)
  • A mold (I used some baby cups that I had along with a silicone mold. Silicone works great because it’s so easy to get the soap out of once it’s dry. Silicone muffin tins woks great)
  • Stamps (Unmounted rubber stamps. Do your best to make sure they are clean or else a bit of the ink will be left on the soaps)
  • Optional: essential oils for fragrance

Place your stamps in your mold. Make sure they are completely pressed down.

In microwave safe container, melt soap in short bursts of 20 seconds until it’s completely melted.

Pour melted soap into molds and let it cool completely. Putting them in the fridge will help speed this along. When they are hardened, pop out the soap by pressing on the molds around it until it has separated from the plastic.

Here are some other ones I made with different stamps.

Wrap them up all pretty and give them away! Or keep them for yourself, like I do most of the time 😉
